Melatonin is the hormone that is used to control sleep. This in most case will lead to insomnia in most individuals.

It is possible that people are going to take some time to recover from the adjustment. It has been noted that heart attacks are had during this period. This daylight saving was introduced during the second world war as a way to measure save the fuel. At this period there is no energy being save because today a lot of things have changed and the world does not function the same way it used to. It is the opposite because people tend to use more energy when it is hot using the air conditioner and the vice versa when it cold with heater.
